Welcome to the AVI Food Service Program

 Welcome back students and parents to another school year at GESU Catholic School! My name is Sharon Butler and I am the Food Service Director for the school. We have put together this information to help our new parents as well as our veterans in understanding and hopefully answering some questions about our new partnership with GESU and your food service program here.

Our goal is to provide the healthiest meal possible for all of our students while offering a variety of meal options and additional choices for purchase. I am available anytime to help any parents who may have questions about the menu so that they can decide if they would like their child to purchase a lunch from school or bring it from home. Check out the monthly lunch menu which can be found under the Quick Links tab for our menus and everything you need to know about the Food Service Department.

Our menus are based on a variety of homemade selections for students to choose from. We try to have components that the kids wont be afraid to try and are familiar with. Fresh fruit and vegetables are incorporated into all our daily menus.   We do not purchase or serve peanuts for the safety of our students.  If you have a child with specific allergy or dietary needs, please contact me directly so I can best assist you with this

Student Lunch Accounts & Payments: A combo meal includes a choice of entrée, a side, and milk/water for $4.25.  Milk/water can be purchased separately for $0.75.

Gesu offers a prepaid lunch program; Students are expected to have funds available on their lunch account prior to making a purchase.  You may use Digital Academy to make lunch payments and to view your child’s lunch account transactions.  Checks are accepted for lunch fees.  Checks made out to Gesu School can be sent to the office. Students will be able to get a full lunch with a negative balance but not purchase A’La Carte Items. Please contact Michael Martinek, Director of School Operations with any questions. As another safety protocol, no cash will be accepted to purchase food items in the cafeteria.  It is our goal to make sure that all students receive a nutritious lunch while maintaining proper financial policies and procedures.

Adding Money to Your Student’s Account:

1. Login to Digital Academy
2. If you need help with a password reset email communications@gesu.com
3. On the home page click on the Finance Tab
4. Scroll Down to the Cafeteria Account Balance Section
5. Press Add Funds
6. Enter the amount you wish to add for your child(ren).
7. Press Next
8. Use a Payment Method ACH or Credit Card
9. Press Process Payment.

Feedback: We appreciate and always welcome your feedback in order to better serve your students. Twice a year we email an online survey on the Wednesday Constant Contact publication to gather valuable feedback in order to continue to improve the food service program.
