Knights of Columbus

Each year the Knights of Columbus award three partial scholarships to Catholic high schools to Gesu eighth grade students as they approach graduation. Each scholarship is renewable for each high school year pending student grade point average and conduct as tracked at the high school. The scholarship is named in honor of deceased Knights of Columbus member Robert P. Blazunas who was a Gesu parishioner, parent, and tireless volunteer with the Knights.

Students must write an essay based on a theme which focuses on being a Catholic citizen in our society today.  Parents also give a brief financial statement and the school administration works with the Knights to decide upon the winners.  The winners are announced at the 8th grade Awards Assembly which is held prior to graduation.
