The Gesu Library is a fully automated facility that serves the needs of both students and staff. The library’s collection of nearly 14,000 volumes of print and e-books, supplement the curriculum and meets the reference and reading interests of our students.

Our library software, Destiny, allows student access to the Gesu Library Catalog from CLASSROOMS and from HOME. This gives students the ability to download e-books to a home device, post a book review, or recommend a book to a friend.

Grades PK-4 participate in a weekly scheduled library period during which students are instructed in library skills and introduced to a variety of books and authors. Students in 5th through 8th grade have open library, using its resources throughout the day according to their needs. Students are welcome to check out books anytime. They don’t need to wait for library day!

The library is staffed by a professional librarian with Masters’ Degree in Library Science and a large group of dedicated parent volunteers who assist in the circulation of over 3000 items per month.
