WHO:

All Gesu Students!

WHAT:

Are participating in a school wide read-a-thon to help raise funds for our school and our students. Students will register online, and log minutes read daily via a reading log. Parents and families are encouraged to donate and sponsor their readers.

 

                             STUDENTS CAN TRACK THEIR PROGRESS DAILY ON THE LEADER BOARD

WHY:

Funds raised from the read-a-thon will help pay for our student’s field trips and extracurricular activities.

WHERE:

Digitally! Click the link below to register a reader or sponsor a student. Suggested minutes/day goal is listed by grade level.

WHEN:

September 11th
The read-a-thon will run for two weeks (Sept. 11th – Sept. 26th)
By September 26th, our school wide goal is to raise $100,000

WIN:

If we can reach our school wide goal of $100,000 students will receive a day off in Spring!

 The first grade level that raises $10,000 will receive an extra field trip.
Classrooms that raise $5,000 will receive a class pizza party.
Classrooms that raise $3,000 will receive a dress down week.

Each grade level will represent a different decade:

8th– 1980’s

7th– 1970’s

6th– 1960’s

5th– 1950’s

4th– 1940’s

3rd– 1930’s

2nd– 1920’s

1st – All things 100

Kindergarten & pre-k- 2000’s

 

In our Eras Era

Students who register by Monday, September 15th, can dress down in their decade theme clothes (or regular clothes) the following day- TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 16th

 

Celebrating Our Legacy

Any student who sends 10 requests to family or friends by Friday, September 19th will receive a HOMEWORK PASS (10 requests per family works)

 

$100 Bucks for 100 Years

The teacher, for each grade level, whose class raises the most money will win a $100 Visa gift card.

 

One hundred percent effort.

The teacher, whose class raises the most money will win a $500 Visa gift card.

Kalahari.

The student who logs the greatest number of minutes will receive 3 Kalahari passes.

 

Gold Sponsors

$250 Grandparents

Any student whose grandparent donates $250 will be invited to attend a special school event with their grandchild (this applies/family)
