WHO:
All Gesu Students!
WHAT:
Are participating in a school wide read-a-thon to help raise funds for our school and our students. Students will register online for the read-a-thon and keep track of minutes read. Parents and families are encouraged to donate and sponsor their readers. Our goal is for each student to raise $75.
WHY:
Funds raised from the read-a-thon will help pay for ourstudent’s field trips and extracurricular activities.
WHERE:
Digitally! Click the link below to register a reader or sponsor a student. Suggested minutes/day goal is listed by grade level.
WHEN:
September 12th
The read-a-thon will run for two weeks (Sept. 12th – Sept. 26th)
By September 26th, our school wide goal is to raise $40,000.
WIN:
If we can reach our school wide goal of $40,000 students will receive a day off in March- St. Patrick’s Day!
Any grade level that raises $5,000, will receive a dress down week.
Any classroom that raises $1,500, will receive a class pizza party.
The class that raises the most $ will get to name our Gesu Bulldog!
Additional K-8 Incentives

Students who register by Tuesday, September 17th, can dress down Tuesday Sept. 17th in Cleveland Brown’s gear and/or Brown’s colors.
The dog ate my homework
Any student who sends 10 requests to family or friends by Friday, September 20th will receive a HOMEWORK PASS.
Throw me a bone.
The teacher, for each grade level, whose class raises the most money will win a $100 Visa gift card.
Throw me a bigger bone.
The teacher, whose class raises the most money will win a $500 Visa gift card.
Gesu Bulldog.
The class who raises the most money gets to name our Gesu Bulldog Mascot.

Any student whose grandparent donates $250 will be invited to attend a special in school
event with their grandchild (this applies/family)

Sponsors will receive advertisement on our Gesu Website, the Pledgestar website, the
Gesu Bulletin and further communication from the school.
